2. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how Convert Lab collects, uses, stores, and protects information when operating our internal advertising management tools and platform integrations, including our use of the Meta Marketing API, Google Ads API, and related services.

3. Information We Collect

Through our advertising platform integrations, we may access and process the following types of information:

  • Advertising account data: Campaign names, ad creative content, budget and spend data, performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions), and account settings.
  • Aggregated performance data: Non-personally-identifiable reporting metrics used to optimize campaigns and generate client reports.
  • Lead form submissions: When platform lead ads are used, we may receive name, email, and phone number submitted by individuals who voluntarily fill out lead forms. This data is collected on behalf of and shared with the relevant client.

We do not collect, store, or process personal data of social media users beyond what is explicitly provided through platform lead forms or conversion tracking tools authorized by our clients.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely for the following purposes:

  • Managing and optimizing advertising campaigns on behalf of our clients
  • Generating performance reports and analytics
  • Creating, editing, pausing, and monitoring ads and ad creatives
  • Automating routine campaign management tasks
  • Responding to platform review and compliance requirements

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With our clients: We share campaign performance data and lead information with the client whose advertising account we manage.
  • With platform providers: Data is transmitted to and from Meta, Google, and other advertising platforms as required to operate campaigns through their APIs.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain advertising performance data for as long as necessary to provide services to our clients, typically for the duration of the client relationship plus a reasonable period for reporting and records. Lead data is passed to clients promptly and is not retained by Convert Lab beyond what is needed for delivery.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information, including:

  • API credentials and tokens stored in encrypted environment variables, never in source code
  • Access restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Use of secure HTTPS connections for all API communications
  • Regular review of access permissions and platform integrations

8. Your Rights

If you are an individual whose data may have been collected through a lead form or conversion event on one of our client's ads, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for future data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at marketing@theconvertlab.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Third-Party Platforms

Our tools integrate with third-party advertising platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google. These platforms have their own privacy policies that govern how they collect and use data:

10. Use of Meta Platform Data

Our use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Specifically:

  • We only access data necessary for managing advertising campaigns
  • We do not use Meta data for surveillance, discrimination, or any unauthorized purpose
  • We do not sell Meta platform data to third parties
  • We delete Meta platform data upon client request or when it is no longer needed for the stated purposes
